Having already developed two of their previous hotels, when Evans Dakota Hotels approached us with plans for their Manchester site, we knew we could deliver the high-quality finish and attention to detail that the brand are famed for. The project needed to reflect the signature aesthetic, emulating Dakota’s architectural vision to ensure the property would be a destination, and not just a layover.
GMI helped the Dakota Hotel put a previously overlooked postcode firmly on the Manchester map, adding a new destination to the UK staycation scene and the international city-break stage.
Modern Residential Construction Services Manchester
Luxury city living is another key aspect of the city’s ongoing regeneration. We provided our expert building services in Manchester at Burlington House, an 11-storey development of 91 contemporary apartments in Piccadilly Marina. Responding to the need for a variety of city centre accommodation, the design provides one-bed, two-bed and three-bedroom apartments in a range of sizes.
Located next to the Grade 2 listed Jackson’s Warehouse, the highly complex structure required a sensitive approach, in close consultation with English Heritage and the Canal Rivers Trust.
