Delivery 167 beds of prime student accommodation in the heart of Birmingham.
The works consist of the design, construction and defects rectification of a 167 bed student accommodation consisting of 101 studios (including 8 accessible and 66 bedroom clusters) including student hub and leisure spaces, service areas, a retail unit, services, drainage, landscaping and external works.
The new state of the art accommodation will cater for students at Aston University, University College Birmingham and Birmingham City university. The site is within easy access of the City Centre and its core amenities.
The scheme will also provide an improved retail space for the existing Post Office and newsagent based on the site, which will be relocated close by during construction.
The local community will also benefit from an enhanced public area in front of the building, which will include landscaping, seating and cycle stands.
This space will feature public art to be created through an initiative led by Birmingham Poet Laureate Casey Bailey in partnership with the Ikon Gallery, Writing West Midlands and pupils of the neighbouring Selly Park Girls School.
