GMI Construction Group PLC strengthened their Midlands operations with the appointment of Jonathan Walsh as Construction Director.

Spending more than 16 years at Midlands-based Galliford Try where he was Project Manager and latterly Construction Director, Jonathan is delighted to have joined what he calls an ‘ambitious and progressive’ company.

“I’m delighted to have joined GMI, an organisation which has a superb outlook, excellent foresight and ultimately a professional approach in everything that it does,” said London-born Jonathan, who joined Galliford Try after coming up to the Midlands region from the West Country and establishing himself at Thomas Vale Construction.

“GMI have made significant inroads into the Midlands, with many high-profile projects added to its growing portfolio since setting up office in Birmingham.

“The fact that GMI are involved in a wide variety of developments, was a particular draw for me when making my decision to join the company. Every day is different and there is always a challenge, which makes this role extremely appealing to me.”
