Great News for Brooklands School in Skipton! The school has embarked on an exciting project to construct a brand new rebound therapy building specifically designed for children with special educational needs. We joined forces with McLaren Group and Robertson, which are each offering their services free of charge. This joint effort is part of the esteemed Yorkshire Childrens Charity Initiative known as The Great Yorkshire Build, which aims to positively impact the lives of young individuals in the region.
The upcoming Rebound Therapy Building is set to be a haven for over 80 pupils at Brooklands School. It will feature a range of of trampolines meticulously designed to provide these children with invaluable therapeutic exercise opportunities. By engaging in the rebound therapy, the students will not only enhance their physical strenght and coordination, but they will also have the chance to develop curcial communication skills while alleviating anxiety.
GMI was the first construction company to volunteer for the charity’s Great Yorkshire Build Initiative, which involves several businesses within the sector donating their time, skills and cost of materials.

The combined efforts of all involved will undoubtedly leave a lasting impact on the students at Brooklands School, providing them with an exceptional space to receive the specialised support they require.
