GMI’s Integra site team were celebrating this morning after receiving a 100% score on their latest Considerate Contractors Scheme (CCS) visit.
This second visit score is the fourth 45/45 GMI has landed in the past six months after site teams across the four regions where we operate linked up with our Responsible Business team.
Last year Citrus secured £75m funding to enable the speculative development of five big sheds at its Integra 61 business park near J61 of the A1(M) in Bowburn. GMI has been on site since June with the first units expected to be ready for occupation in summer 2023.
While the scheme is on track, so is our goal to be the leading contractor in the CCS space and with a score like this, on top of excellent scores throughout our business, we have driven the company average up to 42/45 points.
Claire Preston, Head of Responsible Business for GMI, said: “This score underlines once again our commitment to the scheme and our collaborative approach to improving across the board. Our site teams, like the one in Bowburn, have really embraced some of the new ideas and initiatives we have introduced, such as the check list of best practice which gives site teams a clear steer on what best in class is all about.”
Gary Oates, GMI’s MD in the North East, said: “I’d like to say a big well done to the site team, our Responsible Business partner in the region, Pamela Green, and of course Claire for their help. It’s a team effort and by working together we’ve achieved the first 45/45 score in the North East region. At GMI were about delivering a brilliant product for our client, building sustainably and making a positive difference in the community. This score is testament to that approach.”
