Mankind Initiative

We are proud to support a number of charity campaigns and in 2022, we became the first construction company to support the Mankind Initiative, which raises awareness of the #MenYouAreNotAlone campaign.

The Mankind Initiative has supported male victims of domestic abuse since 2001 and are a specialist charity focussed on providing support services for men experiencing domestic abuse.

A number of construction sites took part across the country, with hundreds of GMI colleagues receiving an impactful presentation from a domestic abuse professional.

Only one in 25 victims accessing specialist support from their local commissioned service is male, with The Mankind Initiative encouraging more men to come forward and for those around them to offer support.
