Unprecedented: GMI lands 6 shortlists in a week!

GMI has smashed the history books with an unprecedented number of shortlists as the company notched no less than 6 awards in five days.

The news rounds off a super week for the business following the grand opening of our new look Stockton office, the announcement of #GMINorthEast winning Teesside Airport and now we can reveal the following shortlists:

Construction News Awards 2023

– GMI nominated for Construction Company of the Year (under £500m) and with a chance of defending our title after judges once again recognised our growth

– Construction Leader of the Year, Lee Powell for his work in leading the company and establishing GMI as a national force

– Construction Project of the Year (Keswick, #GMINorthWest) as the project team, under tough circumstances, delivered one of the best ever GMI built hotels and Premier Inn’s leading hotel

Insider North West Awards 2023

– Construction Company of the Year as the #GMINorthWest won two of Manchester’s premier league wins in Circle Square and City lands while delivering a host of quality schemes, with more to hand over this year

– Construction Project of the Year (MA6NITUDE Middlewich for outer work building Swizzles and Units 11 and 12 for Tritax

The Yorkshires

Construction Innovation Project of the Year (King Street) as the team troubleshooted their way to delivering Leeds’ leading business office
